Tommy Gogolen enjoys another big powder day at A-Basin in May 2011
In May 2011 we were still immersed in one of the best winters ever in Summit County. Storm after storm after storm pummeled the north-central mountains in Colorado for seven months. I took today’s Primal Photo about a year ago after another storm deposited a couple feet of fresh powder at A-Basin. We had so many powder days that we lost track of most of them. Luckily I did capture many days with my camera. A-Basin had so much snow that it stayed open until July 4. I was happy to be living in Summit County for what might have been a once-in-a-lifetime winter.
